In Sundargarh, the district Administration is recruiting doctors and paramedical staffs in various primary and community health centres along with District Headquarter Hospital and Rourkela Government Hospital. The aim is to provide quality health services to the people during COVID. DMF Sundargarh has provided financial support to this end.
The COVID situation is under control in Sundargarh but sample collection and testing is being done in different urban and rural areas amid the possibilities of a third wave. The paramedical staffs have major role in identifying and treating COVID patients. A large number of ANMs and Data entry operators have been engaged in COVID vaccination.
“The Sundargarh district is emphasizing on providing better health services. To make this possible, the doctors and paramedical staffs have been hired with the financial support of DMF. As a result we have been able to engage the human resource needed to enable quality health services for the patients” informed CDMO Sundargarh, Dr. Saroj Kumar Mishra.
81 doctors and 402 paramedical staff have been recruited in the district with the financial support of DMF. Quality of health services has improved from rural to urban areas. While doctors have been engaged at Departments of Dental, Medicine, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, ENT, Surgery, Anesthesia and Physiotherapy.
The Paramedical staffs play a major role in health service at Sundargarh. These include Nurse, ANM, laboratory assistant, radiographer, data entry operator, hospital manager and accountant etc. The paramedical staffs of IPH standard have been recruited in the district.
