In order to deliver a boost to digital literacy at the primary education level, Keonjhar District Administration has launched the ‘Alternative Learning Project’ today.
The Project aims at integration and inculcation of digital technology into teaching and learning of students in primary education. Besides, it will promote a culture of early-stage IT use and practice that are suitable to students’ developmental level and help improving the learning outcomes.
The unique initiative will be implemented in 20 Schools of Sadar and Banspal Block on a pilot basis. This digital literacy programme of the district administration is supported by DMF Keonjhar. This initiative will also support the students of Class-4 & 5 to perform well in National Achievement Survey -2024.
The Project was launched at Darbar Hall in the Collectorate in the presence of Upendra Tripathy, Principal Advisor (Education) to Odisha Chief Minister.
The launching ceremony was attended by Ashok Kamath, Chairman, Akshara Foundation, Ranjita Pattnaik, State Lead, Akshara foundation, Prasant Swain, Additional Director (Quality) and Collector, Keonjhar.
