Bini Muduli made history by becoming the first woman from the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group to pass the OPSC examination

The Bonda tribal community in Mudulipada Bonda Ghati, located in the Malkangiri district, celebrated a remarkable achievement as Bini Muduli made history by becoming the first woman from the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group to pass the esteemed Odisha Civil Service examination. The results were released by the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) on Saturday. Bini, who hails from Khemaguda near Govindapalli and previously worked as an Ayurvedic assistant, scored an impressive 596 marks in the ST category.
Bini is the daughter of Ram Muduli, a cook at Mudulipada High School and Sunamani Kirsani, who works as an Anganwadi worker. Her educational journey took her from Mudulipada Primary School to JNV for her secondary education and she later graduated from Bikram Dev College in Jeypore. Bini shared that her preparation for the OPSC exam was driven by self-study, making the most of online resources and YouTube to guide her learning.
She attributes her achievements to the unwavering support of her parents, teachers, friends and colleagues. Her goal is to guarantee that pro-tribal initiatives are effectively carried out for the advancement of the Bonda community. Her parents serve as her main source of inspiration and she expresses gratitude to all her teachers, friends and colleagues. She is committed to collaborating with the government to ensure the successful implementation of these vital pro-tribal programs for the benefit of the Bonda community.
Bini expressed her gratitude, saying, “My parents are my greatest inspiration and the foundation of my achievements. I also want to acknowledge the support of my teachers, friends and colleagues.” She further emphasized her commitment, stating, “I will collaborate closely with the government to make sure that all pro-tribal initiatives are effectively carried out for the betterment of the Bonda communityā€¯.
Shyama Madhi from Pottrel village in the Korakunda block achieved an impressive rank of 631. Meanwhile, Bhagyashree Mishra from Mendukuli village in the Mathili block secured a commendable 138th rank. Additionally, Pilholika Priyadarshini, who lives in the Malkangiri Sadar block, successfully passed the OCS exam with a rank of 484.
