The third phase of the initial installment of the Subhadra Yojana is set to be distributed to women beneficiaries on November 24 of this year. Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida made this announcement following her return from a trip to the United Kingdom.
On this date, eligible women beneficiaries will receive Rs 5,000 credited to their bank accounts during a program attended by Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Jual Oram in Sundargarh district. This phase is expected to benefit over 20 lakh women under Odisha’s flagship initiative. Additionally, the state government is contemplating the inclusion of all applicants who were denied assistance in the first and second phases due to technical issues.
During the verification process for the Rs 5,000 assistance under the Subhadra Yojana, 2.67 lakh applicants were rejected. More than 60 lakh beneficiaries have received funds from the program in the first two phases. Specifically, 25 lakh beneficiaries had the amount credited to their accounts on September 17, while approximately 39 lakh women benefited from the scheme in the second phase on October 9.
