The state government has garnered an impressive response from more than three hundred thousand individuals who have contributed their ideas and suggestions for the development of a comprehensive vision document aimed at achieving the objectives of Viksit Odisha 2036, in harmony with the national goal of Viksit Bharat 2047.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed gratitude to all those who have provided their valuable insights. “I extend my thanks to the people of Odisha for their contributions towards shaping the future of our state,” stated the Chief Minister. He emphasized that this significant public involvement reinforces Odisha’s role as a pioneer in participatory governance, united in the mission to create a Viksit Odisha for a Viksit Bharat.
The Odisha Vision citizen engagement platform has garnered feedback from a wide array of stakeholders, such as students, professionals, government officials, non-governmental organizations, and distinguished individuals, through various channels including email, WhatsApp, and the dedicated Odisha Vision website, both domestically and internationally.
In October, the Chief Minister inaugurated a web portal at https://vision.odisha.gov.in to solicit public opinions. The feedback received encompasses 17 transformative thematic areas, which will form the basis for Odisha’s sustainable and inclusive development, with a particular emphasis on agriculture and rural development that prioritizes climate-smart practices, improved irrigation, and market connections.
For the first time, the state has employed artificial intelligence (AI) technology to thoroughly assess and analyze citizens’ suggestions, ensuring that every opinion is acknowledged and the most valuable ideas are integrated into the state’s strategic framework. This pioneering initiative highlights the state’s dedication to leveraging advanced technology to enhance citizen-driven policymaking, as stated by the Chief Minister’s Office.
Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida conveyed their heartfelt gratitude, highlighting the significance of collaborative endeavors in achieving the goal of a thriving Odisha.
