Odisha will establish Universities & InstituteS to enhance scientific education

The Odisha government has announced the establishment of a Biotechnology University to bolster research and innovation in the state. Science and Technology Minister Krushna Chandra Patra revealed plans for the university, emphasizing its potential to advance scientific education.
In addition, the state will establish an Applied Mathematics University and an Institute of Chemistry, diversifying opportunities for students and researchers. These initiatives aim to position Odisha as a hub for advanced scientific studies.
Minister Patra also announced plans to construct planetariums and science parks in response to public demand. These facilities are intended to inspire community engagement and foster interest in space exploration and science.
“We aim to enhance the scope of science and technology in Odisha through these initiatives,” Minister Patra said, highlighting the state’s commitment to educational and scientific development.
