A meeting was held today under the Chairpersonship of the Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Smt. Anu Garg, IAS at Lokseva Bhawan, to discuss the Annual Action Plan and strategies for making the governance process more effective, simple, delayered, and focused on expeditious delivery. Senior officers of the Planning & Convergence Department attended the meeting.
In the meeting, the timelines for preparation of Annual Action Plan for FY 2025-26 in respect of Local area and Regional Development Schemes like MPLADS, MLALADS, KBK Bikas Yojana, Kandhamal o Gajapati Bikas Yojana of the Department were discussed. It was also agreed to make the monitoring mechanism for the implementation of DMF robust and strengthen its governance system.
The officers have been deliberating on identifying strategies to overhaul existing processes, eliminate redundancies, and simplify governance, thereby enhancing efficiency and effective governance. The outcomes of the meeting are expected to pave the way for significant improvements in the state’s planning machinery, leading to enhanced convergence.
