A Technical Committee has been formed to assist the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration on technical matters. Chaired by Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Bhattacharya, the committee includes experts from various engineering and heritage fields. It will inspect temple structures, advise on maintenance, and guide ongoing projects for the next two years

A Technical Committee has been formed with members who have various expertise in Civil, Electrical, Public Health, Mechanical, Architecture, Conservation, and Horticulture to assist the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration with technical matters. Prof. (Dr). S K Bhattacharya, former Director of CBRI Roorkee, former Deputy Director of IIT Kharagpur, and Vice Chancellor of S.N. University, Chennai, will serve as Chairman.

The civil wing includes Dr. N.C. Pal, former E.L.C. of the Works Department, Er. J.K. Das, former EIC-cum-MD of O.B. & C.C. Ltd., Er. Lingaraj Gouda, EIC (Civil) of the Water Resources Department, Er. Bindheswar Patra, former Chief Engineer of the Works Department, Er. Rabindra Kumar Acharya, former Chief Engineer of the Works Department, and Er. B. Asis Kumar Subudhi, former Additional Chief Engineer of the Works Department.

This committee will periodically inspect the Shree Jagannath Temple, Shree Gundic Temple, and other heritage structures related to the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration. They will provide the Temple Administration with inspection reports on technical issues and suggestions for any necessary corrective actions. Additionally, the committee will supervise and guide the projects undertaken by ASI and share their observations.

The committee’s term will be valid for two years from the date this memorandum is issued.
