The government of Odisha has officially announced that September 9 (Monday) will be a holiday for all banks and financial institutions within the state in celebration of ‘Nuakhai.’ This decision was communicated through a notification issued by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department.

Additionally, the state government had previously declared a holiday for all government, government-aided, and private educational institutions, as well as for offices and magisterial courts in Odisha in celebration of Nuakhai.
