In preparation for the state’s premier business summit, the Odisha government is poised to convene a meeting with ambassadors from multiple countries, along with an interactive session in New Delhi on Thursday. This gathering aims to present Odisha’s ‘dynamic industrial landscape and burgeoning investment prospects’ to an international audience.

The event will feature participation of ambassadors, high commissioners, consul generals, trade commissioners and senior diplomats from around the world. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will lead the meeting, accompanied by a distinguished delegation.

Strategic Initiative
This strategic initiative seeks to strengthen international collaborations and emphasize Odisha’s role as a significant contributor to India’s industrial revival. The conversations will center on Odisha’s industrial capabilities, supportive policies, business facilitation measures and current efforts to create a favorable environment for investors.

According to Hemant Sharma, Principal Secretary Industries Department, Government of Odisha, the CM will personally invite global stakeholders to participate in the Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave 2025, to be held on 28th and 29th January 2025 in Bhubaneswar.

G2B Discussion
At the Ambassadors’ meeting, Government-to-Business (G2B) discussions are planned, during which the chief minister will engage with notable industry leaders and representatives from diverse sectoral associations. The state government will facilitate an interactive session with the chief minister, focusing on industries located in the Delhi NCR region.

This roadshow will highlight the industrial landscape of Odisha, showcasing its strong infrastructure and potential for collaboration in various sectors, including IT and ITeS, textiles, food processing, chemicals, petrochemicals, renewable energy and electronics manufacturing. Business leaders and investors from diverse industries are invited to discover how Odisha can be a pivotal location for their growth initiatives.

The Utkarsh Odisha Conclave 2025 is set to take place in Bhubaneswar on January 28 and 29, and it is anticipated to be the most significant industrial assembly in Odisha’s history, leveraging the state’s previous achievements.

According to officials, the ambassadors’ meeting and interactive sessions will serve as vital avenues for conveying Odisha’s narrative of growth, collaboration and opportunity to both international and domestic investors. The business summit is projected to draw business leaders, industry specialists, policymakers and diplomats from across the globe.

MSME Parks
During the logo launch for the investment summit on September 27, Majhi emphasized Odisha’s dedication to realizing its industrial goals through strategic policies, enhanced infrastructure and a conducive business environment.

He had stated that his administration has implemented various initiatives, such as the creation of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) parks in every district of Odisha, the establishment of a Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Park, multimodal logistics parks and the development of new industrial corridors, all designed to cultivate a robust industrial ecosystem.
