Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has officially inaugurated the Odisha Tex 2025, the largest textile event in East India, at the State Convention Centre located in Lok Seva Bhavan.
More than 500 delegates, comprising prominent industry leaders, senior government officials, and investors, are expected to attend this significant event, which aims to establish Odisha as the textile hub of eastern India.
During the event, the state government will officially unveil six new parks dedicated to textiles, apparel, and wearables, as stated by Minister of Industries, Sampad Swain, who reviewed the preparations on Thursday.
These parks, which are equipped with top-tier facilities, will soon be operational, according to Swain. The minister indicated that Odisha Tex 2025 will act as a strategic platform aimed at promoting sustainable development within the textile industry through the signing of MoUs, industry engagements, and important policy declarations.
He emphasized that the state government is dedicated to delivering world-class infrastructure and seamless arrangements to guarantee the successful execution of the event. “This is not merely an event; it is a mission to highlight Odisha’s capabilities in the textile sector and to establish a platform for investment, innovation, and job creation. This event will unite global and national leaders to influence the future of textile manufacturing in the state,” Swain stated.
The Additional Chief Secretary of the Industries Department, Hemant Sharma, remarked, “This platform will attract leading textile companies to Odisha and create substantial employment opportunities for our youth. With forward-thinking policies, world-class infrastructure, and a skilled workforce, we are developing a strong ecosystem where textiles can emerge as a significant catalyst for industrial growth, women’s empowerment, and rural transformation.”

Most welcome news . Holding this function in the Lok Seva Bhavan Convention Centre may have forced the Government due to rain . But it’s objectives will not be achieved without public participation.
