IIM Sambalpur rises 16 spots to 34th in NIRF 2025, driving growth with AI in learning, AACSB accreditation, and Triple Crown ambitions

The NIRF rankings, which were released by Union minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday, saw some of the premier educational institutions of Odisha making significant strides.
IIM Sambalpur has climbed 16 places to secure the 34th rank, while Bhubaneswar’s Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to be University has been ranked 15th in the country in NIRF placings for 2025, according to press releases issued by the institutes.
IIM Sambalpur director Prof. Mahadeo Jaiswal congratulated the entire team of the institute for their ‘exemplary efforts’.
“I am thrilled to build up success and continue our journey towards greater heights. IIM Sambalpur has reaffirmed its excellence by climbing 16 spots in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025 rankings, achieving the 34th position in the latest evaluation. This year, IIM Sambalpur has officially launched its global accreditation journey, beginning with AI integration in the learning methodology, initiation of AACSB accreditation process which is an international quality benchmark in business education,” said Prof. Jaiswal.
He added that the institute is aiming for the ‘Triple Crown’ status, a rare distinction held by less than 1% of B-schools worldwide.
