More than 16.4 million people worldwide have been infected with Coronavirus and 6,53,353 lives have succumbed. USA, Brazil and India are leading the WHO list of worst affected nations.
On Tuesday, the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko tested positive for the coronavirus but is asymptomatic. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson rose concerns about the rising cases of COVID-19 as ‘signs of a second wave of the pandemic’ are starting to appear in some parts of Europe.
Similarly, fresh cases of coronavirus continue to rise in China’s north western region of Xinjiang, with 57 reported on Tuesday. Beijing also reported its first case of domestic transmission in more than two weeks, while the north eastern province of Liaoning added another six cases. Another four cases were found among Chinese travellers arriving from outside the country, bringing the daily total over the past 24 hours to 68. Pakistan’s coronavirus tally reached 274,908 with 936 new cases in the last 24 hours. 23 people died in last 24 hours raising the death toll to 5,865.
