Reinforcing its commitment to creating globally competitive talent, the World Skill Center (WSC), Bhubaneswar, today entered into a strategic partnership with the World Trade Center (WTC) Bhubaneswar through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the WSC campus.

The MoU was formalized during a ceremony held at the World Skill Center in the presence of senior leadership from both organizations, industry representatives, and distinguished guests. The agreement marks a significant step towards integrating skill development with global trade ecosystems and expanding international opportunities for Odisha’s youth.

Through this collaboration, WSC and WTC Bhubaneswar will work together to strengthen international industry engagement, facilitate global internships and apprenticeships, promote skill exchange programmes, and provide exposure to international trade and business ecosystems. The partnership will also focus on developing globally relevant training modules, supporting industry interactions, and enhancing the employability of skilled professionals in international markets.

Speaking on the occasion, A. Rajyalaxmi, Regional Director, World Trade Center Bhubaneswar, emphasized the growing importance of skilled human capital in an increasingly interconnected global economy and highlighted the role of the partnership in creating pathways for international exposure and career advancement.

The World Trade Center Bhubaneswar, an accredited member of the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA), New York, plays a key role in promoting international trade, investment, and global business linkages through its extensive worldwide network.

The World Skill Center, established under the Department of Skill Development & Technical Education, Government of Odisha, is recognized as one of India’s leading institutions for advanced skill development. With world-class infrastructure, industry-aligned training, and a strong focus on employability, WSC continues to empower youth with the skills required to succeed in a rapidly evolving global economy.

The MoU was signed and exchanged between Subhanga Kishore Das, Principal, World Skill Center and A. Rajyalaxmi, Regional Director, World Trade Center Bhubaneswar, in the presence of Rashmi Ranjan Mohapatra, CEO, World Skill Center, and senior leadership teams from both organizations.

This partnership reflects WSC’s continued efforts to build meaningful collaborations that connect skilled talent with global opportunities while positioning Odisha as a destination for world-class skill development and workforce excellence.
