Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) successfully concluded the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 – Hardware Edition, marking another significant milestone in its unwavering commitment to fostering innovation and technological excellence. Hosting the prestigious national event for the fourth consecutive year, MUJ once again transformed its campus into a vibrant hub of creativity, problem-solving, and youthful ingenuity as talented innovators from across India showcased their hardware solutions.

The valedictory ceremony was graced by distinguished dignitaries. Chief Guest Piyush Kamothi, Head (Business and Service), Infosys Jaipur, inspired the gathering with his insights on innovation and collaboration. Guest of Honour Puneet Sharma, Media Advisor, SIH, added further significance to the event. The ceremony was attended by MUJ’s senior leadership including Karunakar A. Kotegar, Pro-President; Neetu Bhatnagar, Provost; Ajay Kumar, Dean, Graduate Outcomes; Brajesh Kumar, Dean, FoMCA; along with AICTE officials Ankush Gawri and Deakin Daney.

A total of 20 finalist teams from different parts of the country presented their innovative hardware prototypes at the grand finale. Four teams emerged as winners, each receiving the coveted SIH 2025 Winners’ Cheque of ₹1.5 lakh for their outstanding solutions aligned with the given problem statements.

The winners of SIH 2025 – Hardware Edition are:

  • Team Sixth Sense (NIT Warangal) – Winner for the MoDoNER problem statement under the theme Transport & Logistics.
  • Team Build Zillas (AISSMS College of Engineering, Pune) – Winner for the MoDoNER problem statement on Disaster Management.
  • Team Thinktronics (Akhilesh Das Gupta Institute of Professional Studies, Delhi) – Winner for the Government of Sikkim problem statement on Agriculture, Food Tech & Rural Development.
  • Team Oblivion Overwatch (GLA University, Mathura) – Winner for the AICTE problem statement on Travel & Tourism.

In his welcome address, Pro-President Karunakar A. Kotegar highlighted the importance of continuous innovation and emphasized contributing to the progress of Bharat.
Addressing the participants, Chief Guest Piyush Kamothi encouraged young innovators to persist in their journey of exploration. He said, “Keep learnability as an asset throughout life and always learn to collaborate and contribute.”

AICTE representative Deakin Daney presented the SIH 2025 report, expressing satisfaction over the smooth and impactful execution of the event at MUJ. Participants and mentors praised MUJ’s warm hospitality, seamless organisation, and comprehensive support, calling their experience “unforgettable” and a “treasured memory.”

The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Upendra Kulshresth, Assistant Director, E-Cell, MUJ, acknowledging the collective efforts of AICTE officials, MUJ leadership, participants, mentors, and organisers in making SIH 2025 a grand success.

With the convergence of brilliant minds, transformative ideas, and four winning innovations, SIH 2025 at MUJ reaffirmed the university’s role as a catalyst for youth-driven technological advancement and nation-building.
