Odisha has achieved over 99% distribution of SIR forms under the electoral roll revision drive, with digitisation and voter verification now underway

The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls has progressed significantly, with enumeration forms having been distributed to 3.31 crore individuals, which accounts for 99.14% of voters in the state, as reported by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO).
As of 6 pm on June 15, forms had been disseminated to over 3.31 crore electors. This initiative, carried out under the directives of the Election Commission, seeks to enhance the accuracy, transparency, and currency of the voter list.
With the distribution phase nearing its conclusion, attention has now turned to the digitisation process. To date, 42.86% of the forms, representing 1.43 crore voters, have been digitised. Authorities intend to accelerate this process in the upcoming days.
Following digitisation and verification, the names of deceased individuals, those who have relocated, and other ineligible voters will be removed before the release of the final electoral roll.
Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have been instructed to finalize the distribution, collection, and digitisation of forms by June 28, 2026. Voters are encouraged to assist BLOs and submit their forms within the specified timeframe.
Officials have cautioned that failure to submit forms may lead to verification and additional actions in accordance with electoral regulations. Consequently, eligible voters are advised to complete the process promptly to ensure their names are retained on the electoral rolls.
