The World Skill Center (WSC), India’s premier advanced skill training institute in Bhubaneswar, has achieved a landmark placement milestone for the 2025–26 academic year, with 3,565 learners securing career opportunities across India and overseas. The institute recorded an overall 99% placement success rate, reflecting the growing impact of industry-aligned skill development in creating employment pathways for Odisha’s youth.
A major highlight of this achievement is WSC learners’ growing presence in the global workforce, with 273 students securing international placements with the highest package reaching ₹26 lakh per annum in Singapore and placements in the UAE offering up to ₹5.25 lakh per annum. Among those, 44 women learners secured overseas career opportunities, demonstrating the role of skill education in promoting women’s empowerment, financial independence, and professional growth.
Speaking on the achievement, Rashmi Ranjan Mohapatra, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), World Skill Center, said, “Skill development is the foundation for creating opportunities and building future-ready careers. These placement achievements reflect the commitment of WSC towards equipping youth with industry-relevant skills, confidence, and global exposure.”

The institute also recorded strong outcomes in domestic placements, with 2,158 learners placed across India. The highest national package stood at ₹5.85 lakh per annum, with an average salary package of ₹3 lakh per annum. The placement drive witnessed participation from 83 companies, including 18 organisations offering packages above ₹3 lakh per annum, highlighting strong industry confidence in WSC-trained professionals.
Within Odisha, WSC achieved 1,134 placements across its School of Engineering (SoE) and School of Services (SoS), with participation from 140 companies. The School of Engineering recorded 793 placements, with the highest package reaching ₹4.37 lakh per annum, while the School of Services achieved 341 placements, with the highest package of ₹3 lakh per annum.

These collaborations have helped bridge the gap between skill training and industry requirements, enabling learners to access meaningful employment opportunities.
Subhanga Kishore Das, Principal, World Skill Center, said, “Every placement represents a new beginning for a learner and a step towards economic empowerment. Through quality training and industry collaboration, WSC continues to create pathways for young people to achieve their professional aspirations.”
