Trees play a crucial role in our lives, contributing significantly to maintain environmental balance. They not only provide oxygen but also help in reducing pollution, conserving water, preventing soil erosion, and supporting wildlife. Recognizing these benefits, the UCCI Ladies Forum organized a tree-plantation program on Saturday to raise awareness about the importance of trees and to encourage people to take active steps towards creating and maintaining a green and beautiful environment.
The event was held at the Lakshya Institute of Technology campus in Gothapatna, Bhubaneswar. Members of the Ladies Forum, along with students and staff from the institute, gathered to participate in the tree-planting activity. The event was carefully organized and executed under the leadership of Pranati Parida, President of the UCCI Ladies Forum, with invaluable support from Secretary Archana Malla and Treasurer Shwetapadma Rath. Their combined efforts ensured the event’s success and smooth coordination.
During the event, Pranati Parida, President of the UCCI Ladies Forum, highlighted the significance of trees. She said, “Trees give life. Therefore, it is essential for all of us to plant a tree to ensure a healthy environment. It’s not just about planting the tree; we must also take responsibility for its care and nurturing until it grows”. She emphasized the role of each individual in contributing to environmental sustainability.
Rita Pattnaik, Dr. Bijayalaxmi Patnaik, Sweta Dash, Minati Das, Sangita Patra, Roshni Mishra, and Sangita Panda, along with all members of the Ladies Forum, contributed to the tree planting program. The event fostered a sense of community and collective responsibility, as everyone worked together towards a common goal.
Susant Kumar Rout, Founder & Chairman of Lakshya Institute of Technology, played a pivotal role and extended his full cooperation. The institute’s members and students also took part in the tree-planting event, demonstrating their commitment to environmental conservation.
Looking ahead, the UCCI Ladies Forum announced plans to conduct similar tree-planting programs in various locations in the future. Their goal is to continue enhancing the greenery and beauty of our environment. These future initiatives will help spread awareness and encourage more people to participate in environmental conservation efforts. By promoting tree planting and care, the UCCI Ladies Forum aims to make a lasting impact on the environment and inspire others to join their cause.
