At the heart of this celebratory occasion was the launch of a captivating coffee table book, “BBi: Bhubaneswar Completes Seventy-Five Years,” authored by renowned entrepreneur, hotelier and true Bhubaneswarian, Debasish Patanaik.

The book’s unveiling at The Crown, Bhubaneswar was a testament to the city’s rich history and remarkable transformation over the past seven decades. Patanaik, who has witnessed Bhubaneswar’s evolution since the 1960s, has meticulously chronicled the city’s journey from its inception as a planned administrative town to its current status as a thriving tier-two city.

The book was unveiled by notable guests, including Padma Bhushan awardee Pratibha Ray, eminent linguist and author Padma Shri Debi Prasanna Pattnaik, eminent dramatist and theatre personality Anant Mohapatra, retired IAS officer and public policy analyst Prasanna Mishra, Om Prakash, Owner, Modern Book Depot, retired bureaucrat and former Chief Secretary of Odisha Bijay Patnaik, Prof Kishore Basa, Chairman, National Monument Authority.
