Odisha is poised to showcase its industrial capabilities to attract both global and domestic investors at the forthcoming two-day Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025, commencing on January 28 in Bhubaneswar. The event will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and will center around three key themes: Start-Up Odisha, Skilled in Odisha, and Women Entrepreneurship, taking place at Janata Maidan, Bhubaneswar.
Sampad Chandra Swain, the Minister of Industries and Skill Development & Technical Education for the Government of Odisha, stated that the conclave seeks to establish Odisha as a global industrial center while promoting inclusive and sustainable development. “This conclave transcends a mere investment summit; it represents a transformative journey. Odisha is prepared to spearhead India’s industrial revolution, and we are enthusiastic about welcoming industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators to discover Odisha’s vast potential and participate in this journey that turns aspirations into reality,” Swain remarked.

With more than 7,500 industry representatives registered, including over 100 international delegates and diplomats from 20 nations, the conclave is poised to garner significant global interest. Singapore, Australia, and Malaysia will spearhead discussions and collaborative efforts, while delegations from countries such as Vietnam, Zimbabwe, Kazakhstan, Venezuela, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Nepal will also play a vital role. Notable business figures, including Lakshmi Niwas Mittal, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Anil Agarwal, Sajjan Jindal, and Karan Adani, among others, will join the conclave alongside Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Jual Oram, and Ashwini Vaishnaw.
The Utkarsh Odisha Conclave will emphasize sectors such as technical textiles, downstream petrochemicals, specialty metals, and film and media while promoting renewable energy, green fuels, and the circular economy. These initiatives reflect Odisha’s dedication to sustainable development and the enhancement of global partnerships. Delegates will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the State’s rich cultural heritage, featuring performances by the Odisha Dance Academy on the opening day and a medley by the Culture Department on the second day. Each evening will culminate in a stunning Drone Show, merging tradition with modern technology. The Make in Odisha Expo, which will host nearly 150 exhibitors, will present innovative products and solutions. While the expo will be accessible exclusively to delegates during the conclave, it will open its doors to the general public on January 30.
