In the wake of escalating tensions between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror incident and India’s subsequent military operation known as Operation Sindoor, the official website of the Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan (OAVS) has reportedly been compromised by a group claiming to be the ‘Pakistan Cyber Force’. The website has been rendered inoperative since Wednesday, featuring a defaced homepage that states: ‘This website has been hacked by the Pakistan Cyber Force.’ Visitors to the site today discovered it entirely blacked out and inaccessible.
No official comment has been released by OAVS officials concerning this event. The reasons behind the cyber attack remain ambiguous, and it is unclear why the Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya’s website was specifically targeted. Nevertheless, given the current geopolitical climate, cybersecurity experts have expressed alarm over the growing susceptibility of Indian digital infrastructure to attacks originating from abroad.
