Naveen wins

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has emerged as the best performing CM yet again. As per a survey conducted after the general elections by an election watch body VDP Associates, Naveen emerged topper for the slew of welfare programs launched by his government for the benefit of the poor and others, a statement said.

Naveen bagged 81 percent overall satisfaction rating while Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath scored 72 percent satisfaction rating. Andhra Pradesh Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy was ranked third with 71% rating, the statement said.
The Odisha Chief Minister has at the start of his fifth consecutive term had enunciated a 5T principle—Teamwork, Transparency, Technology, Time & Transformation- and exhorted the legislators, Ministers and Bureaucrats to pursue it in right Ernest.
The Chief Minister has vowed to contact people directly for feedback on governance in State.

Naveen has earlier been chosen as the ‘Most Popular Chief Minister’ in a survey conducted by India Today group during 2018. Patnaik had scored 59 percent votes then to pip West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banarjee with 53 percent.
Manipur Chief Minister bagged 52% votes in the survey to emerge as third most popular Chief Ministers in the country while 51 percent people had voted for Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister for the fourth position and Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani with 48 percent was relegated to the fifth position. Naveen has also won the ‘Ideal Chief Minister’ award during the 8th Indian Student Parliament at Pune’s MIT School of Government and the “Best Administrator” of the country in January last year by a national magazine.

He had received the honour from former President Pratibha Devisingh Patil in the presence of several dignitaries, including former Union minister and BJP veteran Murli Manohar Joshi.

Reacting to the news, Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment Minister Arun Sahoo said, “The people of Odisha have chosen Naveen Patnaik as their Chief Minister for the fifth term which depicts an increase in public support.”
