With a single day spike of 61,57 fresh new cases of COVID-19 and 933 deaths, India’s coronavirus tally has risen to 20,88,612 on Saturday. As per the latest information from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Department (MoHFW), the death toll in the country has gone up to 52,518.

The number of active cases in the country at present is 6,19,088 while the number of recoveries is 14,27,006. Maharashtra tops the list with 1,45,889 active cases and 17,092 deaths. Tamil Nadu follows next with 52, 759 cases and 4,609 deaths. Andhra Pradesh comes third with 84,654 active cases and 1842 deaths. Delhi currently has 84,654 active cases and 4,082 deaths.
As per the data of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 5,98,778 samples have been tested on Friday which brings the total number of COVID-19 samples tested in the country to 2,33,87,171.
