The Odisha government has introduced a new color code for all government school buildings, including PM SHRI schools. The Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) has instructed all Collectors and District Secondary Schools to implement this uniform color code in their districts.
The official notice states that suitable instructions should be given to relevant staff to follow the approved color code for all government schools, including PM SHRI schools, during construction, repairs, and renovations. This new order replaces all previous guidelines regarding school building colors.
Previously, under the BJD government, government schools and official buildings were painted green. However, the new government has changed the color of official buildings to light orange frost with an orange-tan border. Shortly after taking office, the BJP government also changed the school uniforms for classes IX and X from green to light brown and maroon.
