World Poetry Day in Bhubaneswar highlighted inclusivity and creativity, bringing together poets, families, and children with Down Syndrome

An evening celebrating poetry and inclusivity was organised at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan to mark World Poetry Day and World Down Syndrome Day. Hosted by Ketaki Foundation Trust in collaboration with Swabhiman, the event brought together poets, parents, and community members.
Children with Down Syndrome and their parents participated in the programme, adding warmth and highlighting the importance of inclusion. Chief Guest Dr. Sruti Mohapatra emphasised the need for awareness and equal opportunities for persons with disabilities.
A poetry session featuring Manua Das, Bharat Majhi, Biyotprajna Tripathy, Bharadwaj Mishra, Satya Ranjan Praharaj, Rasmita Behera, and Pabitra Mohan Kar reflected themes of empathy and humanity.
Dr. Rabindra K. Swain delivered concluding remarks, and the event ended with a vote of thanks by Kapilash Bhuyan.
