NALCO reports record FY26 results with ₹5,816 crore profit and ₹17,843 crore revenue, driven by strong production, sales, and operational efficiency

National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) has reported its highest-ever net profit and revenue from operations for the financial year 2025–26, according to audited results approved by its Board of Directors.

The company posted a net profit (PAT) of Rs. 5,816 crore in FY26, compared to Rs. 5,325 crore in the previous financial year, registering a year-on-year increase of 9.22%. Revenue from operations also rose to Rs. 17,843 crore, up from Rs. 16,788 crore recorded in FY25.

For the fourth quarter of FY26, NALCO reported a net profit of Rs. 1,718 crore, compared to Rs. 1,601 crore in the preceding quarter, reflecting an increase of around 7%. Revenue from operations during the quarter stood at Rs. 5,103 crore, as against Rs. 4,731 crore in the previous quarter.

The company attributed the performance to higher production volumes, improved realizations, and operational efficiencies across its business units. FY26 also saw NALCO recording its highest operational output since inception across several segments.

Bauxite excavation during the year stood at 77.01 lakh tonnes, while transportation was recorded at 77.07 lakh tonnes. Alumina hydrate production reached 23.00 lakh tonnes and calcined alumina production stood at 22.75 lakh tonnes. Cast metal production was reported at 4.72 lakh tonnes.

In addition, the company recorded net power generation of 6,953 million units and coal production of 40 lakh tonnes. On the sales front, total alumina sales were reported at 14.46 lakh tonnes, including 1.38 lakh tonnes of domestic sales. Aluminium metal sales stood at 4.74 lakh tonnes, of which domestic sales accounted for 4.61 lakh tonnes.

Commenting on the results, Brijendra Pratap Singh, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of the company, said the performance was supported by production growth, favourable pricing, and operational discipline. He also noted the role of workforce efficiency and cost optimisation in achieving the results.
