“Beauty with brains is the combination every girl dreams about.” The Femina Miss India 2019, Suman Rao, the 23 year old, was crowned by Anukreethy Vas (Miss India, 2018). This year it was the 56th edition of Femina Miss India.
She was born in Rajasthan but brought up in Mumbai. She is currently pursuing a CA course in New Delhi alongside doing a course for B.Com. She expresses her love for dancing and she has also been learning kathak. However her biggest passion is modeling. She has been crowned Miss India Rajasthan 2019. She was awarded Miss Ramp Walk 2019 during the competition.
During the pageant she spoke about her feeling towards gender inequality. She said she comes from a community where gender inequality and other different stereotypes still persist. She also added that she had two choices; to accept the condition where she survives in or to take responsibility for a change. She chose the latter and went successful. Suman will soon be representing India at the Miss World 2019 which will take place in Thailand.
