Odisha’s BJP government completes two years with 121 initiatives, Subhadra Scheme benefits, expanded healthcare coverage, and development-focused reforms

The inaugural BJP administration in Odisha, led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, has marked its second anniversary in office today.

During a press conference held in Bhubaneswar to commemorate this milestone, CM Majhi emphasized that the role of the Chief Minister is a revered opportunity to serve the populace. He underscored the government’s accomplishments, noting that 121 initiatives have been executed over the last two years.

Through the Subhadra Scheme, over ₹20,588 crore has been disbursed directly to more than 1 crore women beneficiaries. The Ayushman Bharat–Gopabandhu Jana Arogya Yojana has provided health coverage to 3.46 crore individuals in Odisha.

Additionally, the government has prioritized the enhancement of educational infrastructure, the encouragement of industrial investments, and the escalation of anti-Naxal operations. The Chief Minister revealed plans to supply pucca houses to 37 lakh beneficiaries.

He further announced the provision of free education from kindergarten through to post-graduation for students hailing from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

The principal event celebrating the second anniversary is set to take place in Rairangpur, located in the Mayurbhanj district, with President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi anticipated to be in attendance on the 20th of this month.
