The 7th Odisha Tourism Conclave-2026, organised by the Hotel & Restaurant Association of Odisha (HRAO), will be held in Bhubaneswar on October 23, bringing together key stakeholders to discuss strategies for making tourism a major driver of investment, employment and economic growth in the state.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida will inaugurate the day-long conclave, while Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati will attend the valedictory ceremony.
The conclave is expected to bring together policymakers, political leaders, tourism experts, hoteliers, travel trade professionals, investors and other stakeholders from across the tourism and hospitality sector.
The discussions will focus on attracting large-scale private investment to develop world-class hotels, resorts and tourism infrastructure, increasing domestic and international tourist arrivals, strengthening air connectivity and unlocking Odisha’s potential in Buddhist tourism.
Another key focus will be on encouraging visitors to stay longer in the state and increase their tourism-related expenditure.
HRAO chairman JK Mohanty said the conclave would focus on positioning Odisha as a competitive destination for international travellers. He said the state had immense potential across a wide range of tourism segments, including spiritual, heritage, Buddhist, coastal, eco, wildlife, tribal, adventure and MICE tourism.
According to Mohanty, the state government has taken several proactive initiatives to promote tourism, while the development of new destinations, improved tourism infrastructure, better connectivity and diversification of tourism products could further boost tourist arrivals.
These measures, he said, could also help increase the length of tourist stays and overall tourist spending, thereby strengthening tourism’s contribution to the state’s economy.
The conclave is expected to provide a platform for government and industry representatives to identify investment opportunities and discuss practical measures for expanding Odisha’s tourism infrastructure and global appeal.
